Umbraco Upgrade Paths We Have Delivered
Upgrading Umbraco is not just about running a package update. Each major version brings breaking changes, deprecated APIs, and new patterns. We have navigated every one of them.
From the transition to .NET Core in version 9, to the complete backoffice rebuild in version 14, to the latest features in versions 16 and 17, we have migrated production sites through every significant change. Your content, custom code, and integrations come through intact.
Version 4 to 7 Migrations
The big WebForms to MVC transition. We migrated dozens of sites through this change.

Umbraco Upgrades & Custom Development: FAQs
Common questions about upgrading Umbraco and building custom back office functionality.
We are still on Umbraco 7 (or 8). Can you upgrade us?
Yes. We have migrated many sites from Umbraco 7 and 8 to the latest version. The process involves auditing your custom code, data types, and third-party packages, then building a migration plan that keeps your content intact. Most upgrades take four to eight weeks depending on complexity.
Will we lose any content during the upgrade?
No. Content migration is the one thing we never compromise on. We export your full content tree, validate it against the new schema, and run test imports before touching your live site. Your pages, media, and metadata all carry across.
What kind of custom back office work do you do?
We build custom dashboards, property editors, content apps, workflow integrations, and package development. If you need your Umbraco back office to do something it does not do out of the box, we can build it. We have been customising Umbraco internals for 20 years.
